This Week’s Torah Portion
Torah Portion “‘נח/Noach” which is “Noah” in English and means “rest/comforter” delivered on October 29, 2022.
This week’s portion covers Genesis/Beresheet 6:9-11:32 and begins, “This is the genealogy of Noaḥ. Noaḥ was a righteous man, perfect in his generations.
Noaḥ walked with Elohim.” In this Torah portion of Noach, we learn that the title is connected to the Hebrew word “חן/chen” which means “Grace,” in which we find correction and guidance. What is particularly focused on this week is the man Nimrod.
The pagan ideology of the trinity doctrine is introduced in this portion through Babylon, Egypt, Greece, Rome, and so on. Why do we think that Christianity is any different, or any form of Christology? Babel means confusion, hence the doctrine of Babel is to confuse in order that we are dependent on them for understanding day to day.
Moreh Richard clearly exposes the fallacy of the doctrine of multiple person godhead and brings us back to the true understanding of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in that He is one and shares His glory with no other. Lastly, we look to the prophecy of how we must go to the Jew to know Hashem.
